Bonus Clue: ”It was 2 - 5 now settled for 1 - 4.”

This clue was referencing the annual Pioneer Days Festival at Sam Smith Park on Labor Day weekend! September 2-5 was last year’s dates and September 1-4 is this year’s dates! The word “settled” was the hint for pioneers!

Clue #1: “Transferring assets to a sibling apparently leads to a lot of cash.”

In 1905 brothers Walter T and Herman W Leake transferred 232 acres to their sister Ronnie Leake Milam that would begin Milam Farm where they would cultivate cash crops until 1991! The box was hidden 80 yards past this sign!

Clue #2: “Do you prefer a swimming hole or a pool? I’m stuck in the middle!”

The box was located between the Senior Aquatic Center (pool) and the Etowah River (swimming hole) in Sam Smith Park!
